Released in -- four years into Fats Domino's run as one of the most popular recording artists in America -- Let's Play Fats Domino is a typical Fats Domino album from the late '50s, meaning that it's a terrifically entertaining listen. Like most of his '50s albums, this was assembled from a variety of sessions and contains a couple of hit singles.

Fats hit the top 10 of the pop chart a staggering ten times during the last half of the '50s, a record very few could match. Even more impressive, Domino scored 37 top 40 hits during his career, most of those coming in one five-year stint between and , not .

Oct 25,  · Fats Domino – "I Want to Walk You Home" Rock n' roll was strictly the domain of teenagers in the '50s, so naturally a number of songs were about puppy love and schoolyard crushes.

I loved listening to Fats Domino when I was 5 years old. Ever since then I've become an avid fan of 50s rock music. All the songs on this album are great with Domino's New Orleans accent and his piano talents. My favorite songs on this album are "Blueberry Hill", "Ain't That a Shame" and "I'm Walking". "Whole Lotta Lovin'" is great too/5(68).
