Garbaruk recommends operating speed SRAM XD-compatible cassette with the following SRAM speed rear derailleur models: NX, GX, X1, X01, XX1. However, in case you would like to use it with Shimano speed rear derailleur, this setup will also work well.

Sep 09,  · I have actually used my alignment tape (recorded in my JVC deck) to correct speed on commodore datasette recorders for Commodore computers which are super finicky with speed. If the speed isn't exactly correct on a commodore c2n deck, the tape programs fail to load. My c2n didn't work until I used my homegrown alignment tape.

The speed for a conventional audio cassette is set at 1 7/8 inches per second. As others have said, this is by controlling the rotation rate of the capstan. The take-up spool is on a friction drive, and runs at whatever speed it needs to in order to take up the tape.

This is the correct answer. For anyone who doesn't see it, look very close at the point where the chain first touches the cassette, at to of the video posted. You can clearly see the chain catch the ramp of the next highest sprocket, then drop back onto the correct sprocket again, creating the problematic noise.

Oct 11,  · The cassette is just the gears. There's no mechanism in it, unless you have an old or cheap bike, or some singlespeed setups. On most multispeed bikes, including any that can have a speed cassette, the ratcheting mechanism is part of the hub. You need to replace the whole hub if you're going to get a significant change.
